Lookup a Business Entity
Step 1 – Start
In Kansas, to perform a search for an entity (Corporation, LLC, Limited Partnership), you must go to the Secretary of State’s Website.

After selecting which option to perform your query, you will be brought to the Results Page (As Seen Below).
Step 2 – Choose Your Entity

You will be shown (Above) a sample of the Corporation’s Name, ID Number, and Legal Status. Click on the ‘View Record’ button on the left in order to see all information at the Secretary of State level about the entity.

Step 3 – Retrieve Information

As you can see from the sample card (Above) you can view all information including its Current Status, Obtain a Certificate of Good Standing, View Previously Filed Documents (in Adobe PDF), Registered Agent Name, Registered Agent Address, Annual Reports, Principal Mailing Address, Date of Formation, State of Incorporation, Officers, and any Fictitious Names the company had been under.
Step 4 – Steps to form your new Business in Kansas
